About the Artist

Painting is a quiet passion for Marina. The potential to always improve and explore deeper into the subject matter is a huge motivator. She primarily paints acrylic landscapes with an emphasis on Vancouver Island, especially the Gulf Islands and forest scenes, highlighting native plants in these settings.

Marina has a degree in biological sciences and is always interested to learn more about local ecology. She deeply appreciates the species and natural landscapes of her home and loves to feature them in her paintings. A personal goal of Marina’s is to gradually contribute to conservation of coastal B.C., especially initiatives that promote land protection or preservation of biodiversity and healthy ecosystems.
